Our House (In The Middle of the Street)

Alright, so this maybe a bit late. However I finished my May term class and have spent the last few days working around the house. Oh, yeah, we bought our house, moved in, I graduated (at least walked), recieved a new camera, worked around the house, blah, blah, blah, blah.

So here are some pictures of the whole ordeal, with comments just to make it more worthwhile...

This is the house with all the growth in the front. I had to be taken on Saturday, the day we moved because...

...our friend Eric began to cut down anything and everything that was green and had life in it. With permission of course. In fact he went to great heights to accomplish this feat...

Needless to say moving was as exciting as one can imagine. Fortunately we had lots of great help. Not just from cold beer and white chili either. So what have we been doing since? Well let's see...

Emilie has been busy painting anything! Just kidding, she painted the fireplace and it looks great. As you can tell, we still haven't painted any rooms yet. That will be cause for a blog-a-palooza celebration! I finally cut the lawn and put down some grass seed. I am hoping that this week or weekend I will have a chance to remove the old swing set (shouldn't be that hard) and put up the new one. I tried this morning to take out the white swing holder thinggy, however it is cemented in over two feet down. Which is nice to see that someone took the time to d it right, however I want to undo all their hard work! It does not look as if the in-laws will be getting a new swing holder thinggy. So this is where the house stands right now. I'm not sure if you can tell or not, but we painted the shutters black and the front door black. We still need to paint the frame of the little window on the front door white. I took out the huge log thing in the front and began to line it with soem of the large rocks we have laying all over. We repainted the window box and put some flowers in it (there orange and white, I don't know what kind). And a special note, if you look carefully you will see that the top shutters are painted. Yes I did it! However after seeing me struggle mightly, my neighboor Bob came over and finished it and fixed all the mistakes I made. I like Bob, he has a big ladder!

And now, random pictures of kids!
